Neelam Khan Harvard Business School Intern at Silkhaus

Like many students looking for their summer internship, I decided early on that I wanted diversity. An internship is a great opportunity to try something different, perhaps a new city or a new industry, or in my case, both.

After speaking to some classmates and reflecting on my own professional desires, I decided that I wanted to experience working at a start-up with a focus on the Middle-East. With this in mind, I began my search for an internship, looking at all avenues as a means of inspiration.

I was impressed by the innovation in the proptech space and how Silkhaus caters for modern day fluid living arrangements with a seamless digitized experience. I decided to reach out to founder Aahan (who also happened to be an HBS alum) and managed to secure an internship shortly after.

It is an incredibly exciting time to join a sector which is forefront of innovation, constantly pushing the boundaries of traditional hospitality. Working at Silkhaus enables me to be part of a team that is shaping the future of travel, contributing to the development of cutting-edge technologies, user-centric design, and novel business strategies.

This summer I am particularly excited to support the team with growth opportunities and scaling into new markets.
